Cleaning up speech, or not producing it
Every dictation tool has the same shape: you talk, it transcribes, and something has to bridge the gap between how people speak and how people write. Typeless puts a good rewriting layer at that seam.
FlowIn has no seam to bridge. It predicts the continuation of the sentence you are typing, in your register, because your typing is what it is predicting from.
In a chat or inbox it goes further, reading the conversation on screen and writing the reply outright. The fastest path to a finished message involves neither speaking nor typing it.
There is also nothing recorded. Dictation starts with audio of your voice; FlowIn starts with what you typed. Autocomplete can run on your own Mac with nothing transmitted. Replies and rewriting are cloud calls, so that text does leave it.
Where Typeless is the better choice
For long-form, out loud, alone. Nobody types as fast as they talk. With the door shut and a lot to get down, speaking it and having the phrasing tidied afterwards is quicker than any prediction, and we are not going to claim otherwise.

- No audio, because there is no microphone in it. For text, autocomplete can run on a model on your own Mac with nothing transmitted, while reply drafting and rewriting run on a cloud model, so that text is sent, used to produce the answer, and not retained unless you opt in.
- Is FlowIn a Typeless alternative?
- It solves the same job by a different route. Typeless takes what you said and turns it into clean written prose. FlowIn writes with you as you type, so there is no spoken draft to clean up. If you want speech-to-text with the phrasing fixed, Typeless does that and FlowIn does not.
- Typeless fixes how speech reads. What does FlowIn do about that?
